Most remodelers only remodel. Muller Homes builds custom homes from the foundation up — so when we renovate yours, you get a true builder's command of structure, systems, and finish, backed by the same fixed builder's fee and zero markups we bring to every custom home.
Serious renovations aren't just cosmetic — they mean moving load-bearing walls, adding square footage, and making new work disappear seamlessly into the old. That takes a builder who understands a house all the way down to its framing, not just its finishes.
Dan built his own 10,000 sq ft home at Redbud as the general contractor, doing much of the work himself alongside his subcontractors. And on a recent full renovation, he personally handled every single trade — leveling the structure, flooring, drywall, electrical, plumbing, gas, paint, trim, cabinets, and appliances — start to finish in three months. Very few builders can say they've done the work with their own two hands.
That's what you get with Muller Homes: a builder who understands your house all the way down to the studs. We take on a deliberately limited number of renovations at a time — big or small — so yours gets the same attention and craftsmanship as a full custom build.
Dan took a dated 1980s ranch down to the studs and did every single trade himself — leveling the home, flooring, drywall, gas, electrical, plumbing, paint, trim, cabinets, and appliances — start to finish in three months. The result is a bright, open-concept modern farmhouse.

Every trade, by Dan's own hand: structural leveling · flooring · drywall · electrical · plumbing · gas · paint · trim · cabinetry · appliances — in three months.
A complete redesign and full renovation that grew a 4,000 sq ft home into a 7,100 sq ft residence valued at $1.125M — structural additions, reworked layouts, a chef's kitchen, a two-story great room, spa baths, a home theater, and a finished walk-out lower level. Dan and his wife drove the entire design and made every selection, and stayed deeply involved through the whole build — Dan personally installing the fireplace mantels and hearth, tiling the main kitchen backsplash to the ceiling, building and tiling the entire lower-level kitchen, fitting out all the closets, setting up the outdoor grill station, hanging the blinds, and handling some of the painting.
